Water Jasmine Shohin 028 (23/08/2009)

Source: Nursery stock

This is a stock cultivated from seed. After so many years of being bounded to the pot, the roots have thickened and show great characteristics and bends. This is one of the very prominent qualities of a wrightia religiosa. Much work have been done to reveal the true trunk. Most roots were removed as root cuttings for future potential shohin/mame, and the main roots cleaned up. Two main areas have also been semi-pruned as the number of feeder roots left were little, so partially removed the fatter ones and wire tourniqueted it further up to force new feeder roots to regrow. It will take several years to redevelop the current root system. Its exciting to get hands on such stock to work with.
